A delicate sushi display celebrating food as visual art, inspired by the butterfly—symbol of beauty and freedom.
Echoing the elegance of afternoon tea rituals, this piece replaces treats with sushi, adorned with patterns influenced by Japanese embroidery.
Built without glue, the structure relies on precise joints for support.
The task involved creating a food experience design using only a piece of cardboard, with no glue allowed for fitting or fixing. Through this challenge, I explored various joint and structure techniques, learning how to utilise everyday materials and the connections around us to create functional and engaging designs.
